Current U-M Y2K Status

Wed Jan  5 11:26:20 2000 Thanks to the efforts of many talented and dedicated individuals working together, the rollover into the Year 2000 was non-eventful at the University of Michigan. Extensive planning prevented Y2K glitches, prepared the University to function well in the event of any emergency situation, and has improved functionality of many of our systems.

We are grateful to those who supported and encouraged our efforts and to those who contributed their time, energy, abilities, and expertise to work on the enormous task of resolving issues surrounding the Y2K rollover.

Happy New Year!

Mon Jan  3 16:06:56 2000 Happy New Year!  At the present time, all University systems and services are operational.  The campus experienced only very minor difficulties during the rollover weekend and there presently are no disruptions of service.  Those involved in the Y2K Response Center credit good planning and education with the success of the rollover event.  Watch for further information detailing rollover events to appear on the Y2K Web site in the next several days.
