...is a collaboration between students and teachers at Ann Arbor's elementary, middle and high schools and the University of Michigan. It is designed to use local history and geography as a site of innovative teaching and learning for students and teachers at all three education levels.
The Archive is a collection of historical and contemporary materials such as maps, photographs, personal letters, and government records. The Topics section groups selected documents around important themes such as African-American life, the Huron River, and the Great Depression. There is also an Educators' Section that includes lesson plans, connections to local and national history resources, and a feedback area so you can share your experiences about using this site with others. Finally, there is Spotlight, where students' work may be exhibited.
This site is still under construction. Please let us know how we can make this a more valuable resource for you!
