U of M Team Pool Championships (UMTPC)
UM Team Pool Championships Logo

This annual intercollegiate team tournament--one of only two collegiate team pool tournaments in the country--is held at the University of Michigan in late Fall / early Winter.

General Information About the UMTPC:

This is a 3-day team event, starting on Friday afternoon and ending on Sunday evening, sometimes very late. This depends largely upon the number of entries and the speed/pace of play. Teams vie for the title in each of three events, plus the coveted all-around title. Trophies and medals are awarded for each event as well as the all-around total. Because time is of the essence, the field is limited to 16 teams. Each team is comprised of 4 players plus an (optional) alternate.

Tournament site is the University of Michigan, specifically the Michigan Union Billiards & Games Room, 2nd floor, 530 S. State, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The 8th Annual UMTPC is now in the history books!

2012 Tournament:

The 2012 UMTPC (9th Annual) is tentatively scheduled for 11/2/2012-11/4/2012. It just so happens to be the weekend when we change the clocks. This was a huge benefit this year (we need all the time we can get!) so it's convenient that Michigan Football plays out of town that weekend.
