Casual Bridge

How does casual bridge work?

Casual bridge means you can play as few or as many hands as you like, and can switch partners and/or opponents as little or as much as you like; there will be a supply of 12 different boards, and sometimes records of the hands with analysis (by UM bridge club members) will be available when you are done playing.

Casual bridge is for fun and learning and is not a contest. If there is enough interest, we may keep a travelling score slip in the boards to anonymously record scores so you can see what else happened on a particular board, but there will be no formal scorekeeping.

Who can play?

Casual bridge is open to anyone who is interested and willing to play in the spirit of casual fun and learning. If you are looking for a competition, or a more formal duplicate environment, please come to our regular Friday night game or one of the other local club games or tournaments and not to casual bridge.
