Recent Achievements of Local Bridge Players

New Life Masters and other status upgrades

• Deborah DeWitt became a Life Master in February.

Placings at Tournaments and in Special Contests

• Leon Fisher, Jim and Cheryl Perna, and a fourth whose name is unavailable at this time won the 1997 District 12 Grand National Teams in flight B.
• Fran Hammond, Bob Simrak, Deborah DeWitt, and John Kokubo were 2nd in the 1997 District 12 Grand National Teams in flight B.

It's not that we don't have more, it's just that they aren't listed here (yet). Maybe folks have just lost interest in recording stuff here now that the novelty has worn off. On the other hand, the page not being updated and people not reporting accomplishments could just be a vicious cycle, in which case maybe this update will spark some renewed interest (hint, hint).
