APPIC Pre-Doctoral Internship
Application Process
The application process for all APA-accredited internships in Professional Psychology will be entirely on-line this year; details can be found at www.appic.org
The electronic application will include:
- A cover letter articulating how your learning goals could be met through our specific internship here at the University of Michigan Counseling and Psychological Services
- A completed APPI
- your Curriculum Vita
- Three letters of recommendation, at least two of which describe your current clinical skills (only three are required, four are acceptable).
- Our application deadline is FRIDAY, November 6, 2009
Initial screening of application materials will be completed by mid-December. Selected applicants will be invited to arrange a telephone interview in January. We have chosen phone interviews in order to ensure that applicants to our site will have an equal opportunity to talk with us, regardless of whether they can afford an on-site visit. Applicants who have been selected for a telephone interview are welcome to arrange to visit us during January 2010, if it would be helpful to your decision-making.
