Work-Life Integration
At the heart of CEW’s mission is the drive to help individuals pursue and thrive in the roles they choose in life. Our counselors help individuals assess their priorities and successfully integrate their chosen roles—whether that’s as a parent, spouse or partner, worker and/or student. Through CEW’s research and policy work, we inform and encourage institutions to adopt policies and programs that support individuals’ choices.
CEW’s actions on behalf of work-life integration take many forms:
Advocating for policies that assist University of Michigan faculty, staff & students through our work on committees like the President's Advisory Commission on Women's Issues (PACWI).
Developing and managing the new National Clearinghouse on Academic Worklife. This website brings together into one place up-to-date information and community discussions to support those who study or participate in academic work.
Participating in the College and University Work Family Association
