The Center for the Education of Women announces the availability of grants of up to $750 to fund research, including scholarly and creative activities, on topics related to the mission of CEW.
Acceptable research topics have a gender focus, including women’s 1) education and careers 2) leadership 3) growth and development 4) health and well-being 5) political and social status, and 6) similar areas of gender-based interest.
We do not award grants to support travel for conference attendance and presentations. Nor do we support travel that is primarily for educational purposes.
An application packet must include the following:
An approximately two-page proposal that describes the objectives and methods of the planned project
A project budget, itemizing all costs and showing how the CEW funds would fit into the budget
A statement of support from a faculty advisor
A vita
If relevant, the application should also include--
Proof of IRB approval for the project
Indication of any current federal (need-based) financial aid*

Student Research Grants will be awarded on an on-going basis until the amount of funding available each year has been expended. Students will be eligible for a research grant only once during the course of any degree program. Receipt of a grant does not preclude eligibility for other forms of CEW financial support.
*Federal financial aid includes subsidized and unsubsidized Stafford loans, Pell grants, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants, Perkins loans, PLUS loans, federal college work-study, and federal loans for students in nursing, pharmacy, and dentistry.
