Chemistry 125 Practice Exams

These documents require the Adobe Acrobat Browser, which should be installed on any University machine using a Web browser. Simply click on the exam names below...the exams should load automatically in your browser window. If you're at home and using your own machine, and don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can it here. It's really easy to install, just click the icon below and follow the instructions.


Exams

It is strongly suggested that you try the blank exams first (print them out and then work on them) and come back later to check your answers against the keys.The answer key exams come complete with answers (blue).

Click on the exam names below to view each exam using the Reader. When you're in the reader, you can click on the individual 'thumbnails' to the left side to get to any page in the exam. Also, these pages will print beautifully if you absolutely must have a hardcopy. Just select the print icon in the Reader menu, which you'll see as small buttons right above the document.

Students' responsibilities


  • Calculations must be shown to receive credit for numerical answers. No credit will be given for numerical answers only.
  • For any special needs (e.g., large print exam) and/or legal conflict (e.g., another U of M class/exam), you need to email Nancy Kerner and cc your home GSI at least TWO WEEK before the scheduled exam. In the email you must indicate your name, the name of your GSI, and your section number. In the case of a conflict, specify what the conflict is, and ALL available time in your class schedule on the day of the exam. In the case of a special need, identify the special need, and provide any relevant documentation.
  • Students are only allowed a pencil, eraser, photo ID, and NONPROGRAMMABLE calculator at their desk. No programmable calculators will be permitted during the exam.
