SCI Paper: (23) Lombardo, L. Tetrahedron 1982, 23, 4293-4292.

Three papers that are closely related to the Lombardo mechanistic step involve olefination of carbonyl groups into

carbon-carbon double bond groups. The following papers each describe different processes related to olefination,

all of which cite the above paper:

This paper shows that molecules that are titanium mediated converts the carbonyl to a olefin or enol ether.

This paper uses reagents very similar to Lombardo reagents to change the ketone into an ester.

(3) Monn, J. A.; Valli, M. J. J. Org. Chem. 1994, 59, 2773-2778.

This paper evaluates a certain combination of reagents which have the ability to act in a manner analogous to the Lombardo reagents.
