SQUID MPMS magnetometer

The SQUID (Superconducting QUantum Interference Device) is located in Chemistry Room 3411c.   This system is known as a MPMS (Magnetic Property Measurement System), with a SQUID detector.   Manufactured by Quantum Design   www.qdusa.com

The DC magnetic field can be run from: -55,000 to 55,000 Gauss (-5.5 to 5.5 Tesla).
The sample temperature can be run from: 1.7 to 400 Kelvin (°K) (-271.6 to 126.7 °C).
