Partnerships with Business

World Trade Center Detroit Windsor (WTCDW) is a charter member of the global World Trade Centers Association, which has 287 licensed affiliates in 88 countries. WTCDW's primary mission is to promote and centralize services and resources that help small and medium-size businesses compete in the international marketplace. CIBE co-sponsors the International Business Forum, which features a monthly luncheon meeting of global-commerce participants who share their experiences and build business relationships.

The Michigan District Export Council (MDEC) is an organization of leaders from across Michigan whose knowledge of international business provides a source of professional advice for local firms. Closely affiliated with the Commercial Service's Export Assistance Centers, the MDEC combines the energies of nearly 60 volunteers to supply specialized expertise to small and medium-sized businesses in their local community who are interested in exporting. CIBE Director Bradley Farnsworth is a member of MDEC-East.
