Emotions in Organizations Workshop June 7-9 2009 This workshop will bring together a core group of international scholars and advanced doctoral students who share our interest in issues that relate to emotional perception and management in organizational settings. In particular, we are interested in research on the development of collective emotion-based capabilities in organizations, as opposed to a single focus on individual level constructs; how such capabilities influence various dimensions of collective organizational behavior and performance; and how such capabilities influence and are influenced by the diversity of contexts and cultures that characterize many modern organizations. Business Chinese Workshop March 19-20, 2010 A bi-annual conference on the University of Michigan campus for Chinese language instructors for the purpose of presenting new teaching materials and techniques, exchanging best practices in curriculum innovation, and discussing the general state of the field.
