Location: Universities in Koblenz, Germany and Bratislava, Slovakia
Dates: 12 May - 23 May 2008 (Arrive 5/11, Depart 5/24)
Eligibility: The program is open to sophomores and juniors in the BBA program.
Study Topics: Classroom instruction will focus on European integration, the Euro and consequences for foreign firms, business in Central and Eastern Europe, cultural attitudes and implications for business, and challenges for European society. Participants have the option of pursuing a German-language track.
Company Visits: Visits to factories will be included.
Sightseeing: Destinations will include historic and cultural sites, as well as nearby cities.
Credit: Each participant will receive three credits of Strategy 320 (graded, not pass/fail), which will appear on his or her transcript as a Winter 2008 course.

Cost: The program fee of $2,800 includes tuition (three credits), housing, group meals, and all company and cultural visits. This fee does not cover air fare, personal expenses, or meals on your own.
Financial Aid: The program fee is eligible for financial aid.

Travel Documents: You will need a passport. If you don't have one, obtain it as soon as possible.
How to Apply: E-mail your transcript and completed application form to Vicki Simon at CIBE at vicsimon@umich.edu no later than Dec. 10, 2007. (Copy your transcript from Wolverine Access and paste it into a Word file.) Indicate your preferred summer program location in your e-mail. You will receive notification of your acceptance by Dec. 17, 2007.
A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due to CIBE by Jan. 15, 2008. The balance of the program fee is due on March 17, 2008. Contact CIBE for additional information.
