CIBER French Summer Internships

The French Internship Program exists in order to give University of Michigan Students the opportunity to put their French language skills into practice in a work environment.  Placed in positions in France, Belgium, Switzerland, French-speaking Canada and French-speaking Africa, students are expected to perform tasks as required by their employers.  These will vary depending on the particular internship offered.

Students receive 3 UM credits for French 381 in the Fall term following completion of the internship. For details on academic requirements, click here .

Most internships are unpaid, but some employers provide housing, meals or other perks. CIBER provides a travel stipend to cover some expenses.
