Divine Augustus and the Augustan House Erected in 15 AD, Norbanus Flaccus, who was responsible for erecting these statues was the consular colleague of Drusus Caesar: it would obviously have been inappropriate for Drusus to be involved directly in the erection of a monument that was partially in honor of himself. The statue group may have been intended to stress continuity between Tiberius and Augustus.
