Ann Arbor News Article

OUR NEW HOME:

Children of Abraham officially has a new warehouse! The building will serve both as a sorting platform and as a storage unit for hundreds of boxes of medical supplies. Most importantly, we will begin sorting as soon as possible! Tentatively, sorting sessions will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings.

The move-in took 20 volunteers nearly 5 hours and three trips with an 18’ truck to move all the boxes. Thank you to everyone who donated their time and energy to the move-in!

General members should expect e-mail updates concerning upcoming sorting events. If you are looking to get involved with COA, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Noha Moustafa, about getting on the e-mail list at mnoha@umich.edu

SPECIAL THANKS:

We would like to extend a very special thank you to the following people:
• Jake Haas
• Tim Patton
• Mike Leoni
These phenomenal individuals worked tirelessly to get us this warehouse completely free of charge. We thank you and the people these supplies will go on to touch thank you. Having a warehouse is the most essential part of the redistribution process and we truly cannot continue without your generosity.

FOR THE FUTURE:

After February, we will need another warehouse. This means the search begins now! If you have any contacts, information, or other help with regards to finding a new home for COA, please let us know by emailing give2coa@umich.edu Until then, remember that we will be holding regular sorting session at the warehouse (3741 Plaza Drive, Suite 1). With your help, we can send this shipment to Iraq by the end of the school year. Please give any time that you can! We encourage you to check out upcoming volunteer days on our Calendar under What We Do.
