To be a member of the Michigan Concrete Canoe Team, you do not need to have any prior knowledge or experience with concrete (we promise), nor do you have to be a Civil Engineering Student!! We’re looking for creative and hard working individuals who want to have fun while learning about concrete, computer design, and fabrication! The concrete canoe veterans of the team will help the new members along – so don’t be shy!

To join, look for our table at various recruiting fairs, such as Engineering Undergraduate Welcome day, FestiFall, and NorthFest. If you can't make it out to those, we also have our mass meeting around the end of September. If you still haven't made it to any of those, it's okay! Just show up to one of our general weekly meetings and you can still join the team. Our weekly meeting information can be found on the homepage or on our Schedules page.

By being a part of the Michigan Concrete Canoe Team, you get to learn many different skills and computer programs that will help you proceed with your major or field of interest as well as provide some special items to place on your resume. You will get to learn how to use programs such as AutoCAD and Rhino, how to research company databases, how to research for cementitious materials, fibers, admixtures, and aggregates, how to work with a CNC Router, how to mix concrete, and how to row and compete at competition.
