Auditions

• Friday, April 5th - Auditions for new Members! 5-10 pm, Blain Room of the Union (on the first floor).

• Short Solo
  Creativity is always a plus, meaning show us something original. Rapping and spoken word is definitely cool, but we want to hear your singing voice.  Something lyrical.  We're open to all music genres, and remember: A verse and chorus of any song is plenty!!!
• Range Testing
  Pretty self-explanatory.  We'll test your range.  Where are you undiscovered Prince's and Mariah's?
• Tonal Memory
  Sounds like some weird psych experiment, right?  Nah.  We're just going to play you some musical notes and you'll have to sing them back. Hmm.  Maybe it actually is a weird psych experiment after all...
• Sight Reading
  Reading music notation on the fly.  Funky concept, but we
  end up doing it - a necessary evil, if you will.
• Rhythm Reading
  Snapping, Clapping, Singing, or whatever you want to use to show us that you can read a few bars of rhythm from a sheet we provide.
• and... a Stupid Human Trick!
  This one's all you.  Interpret it any way you want.
  
  

Please come ten minutes early to your audition time.
Make sure you come to auditions with your voice already warmed up!
