Michigan China University Leadership Forum (2008)

Dear Chinese Colleagues:
I am eagerly anticipating your visit to the University of Michigan (U-M) for the Michigan-China University Leadership Forum. My colleagues at Michigan State University (MSU) and Wayne State University (WSU) also look forward to welcoming you in May. They are Dr. Jeffrey Riedinger, Dean of International Studies and Programs at MSU, and Dr. Ahmad Ezzeddine, Associate Vice President for Educational Outreach and International Programs at WSU.
We have been preparing for your visit for months, with the hope that it will be wonderfully enriching and informative for you. We will enjoy getting to know you and are eager to introduce you to our world-class public research universities. There is no doubt that we will learn from you while you are here, just as you will learn from us, and we look forward to many stimulating presentations and discussions.
In advance of your visit, you no doubt will want to read about the three universities, so we have assembled brief descriptions of them on this website. You will also find information about the City of Ann Arbor and the State of Michigan, as well as biographical information and photos of many of the presenters and other contributors whom you will meet while you are here.
There will be presentations and discussions every day during your visit. As we gather information, we will update this website with outlines of the presentations in order to provide an overview of the topics that speakers will address.
You are probably eager to know the daily schedule during the two-week Forum. The draft Itinerary, with details about the timing and location of presentations, tours, banquets, and expeditions, is on this website. We will update the Itinerary with schedule changes as we learn about them, so please plan to keep checking the Itinerary for updates.
