Scientific Software International: Student edition of Lisrel 8.7 is free but is limited in the number of variables that can be used and in its data importing capabilities. Available in Windows/Mac OS 9/X, and Linux versions.; Student edition of HLM 6 is free but is restricted in the numbers of variables and observations. Available for Windows.

Center for Advanced Spatial Technologies at the University of Arkansas.: This site has a section which lets visitors make maps, and gives reports on their fascinating work involving GIS and Archaeology, history and environmental studies. There is much more to this site than can be describe in one paragraph.
National Center for Geographic Information Analysis: Located at the University of Maine. This site contains information about the NCGIA, including its graduate programs. It also has a searchable database of publications about GIS.
