SPSS Topics: Installing SPSS 6.14 for Windows Computers

1. Download files install.exe, disk2.exe, .., disk9.exe, adv.exe, pro.exe from "/afs/umich.edu/group/itd/swdist/s/spss/spsswin.614" to your computer.
2. These are compressed files of disk 1, disk 2, .., disk 9, Advance statistics and Professional statistics.
3. Uncompress these files to diskettes, clicking on the file from windows explorer.  By default files will uncompress to a drive.
4. Name diskette accordingly to file name.
5. Insert diskette named "install" into computer, and run "Setup" file, located on that diskette.
6. When promoted for License number, Type License number.
7. Setup will prompt for installation directory, you probably want to leave default:
   C:\spsswin\
8. When Promoted for modules to be installed, Choose one which you have purcheses.  Basic one from UM are :
   
   • Base
   • Advance
   • Professional
9. When promoted for License number, Type License number.

Note: You may want to save disks for future reference.
