Political cartoon from about 1945 from political cartoonist Bill Crawford,
who won the National Cartoonist Society award for Best Political Cartoon 4
different times. It is done in crayon/grease pencil and pen and ink. It measures
20.5" wide by 16.5 inches high. The cartoon pays homage to Jimmy Hato, who
syndicated cartoon was titled "They Will Do IT Every Time". Here, Crawford
is showing how civilians were taking up the trains back from World War II on
leave to get places in his limited timeframe.
