10th Year = Amazing |

It's been 10 years and DJs has done SO much and are continuing to do SO much!
Don't miss our 10th Anniversary Celebration Concert THIS Friday, April 4th at 8p
(4.4.08 @ 8)! in East Hall's Auditorium
Also - we were recently interviewed! check out the March 12th posting!
We're also very excited to be singing at a UMS development event before the King's College Choir Concert this Saturday at Hill Auditorum.

An Overdue Update |

Appologies for our rather out of date site. But here are some updates:
- We're proud to be the University of Michigan Women's Gymnastics team's official National Anthem singers!
- We had an AMAZING East Coast Tour!
Ohio University, Johns Hopkins, Washington DC, Rochester, Cornell, and NYC!
-
We took 2nd place in the ICCA Midwest Quarterfinals and went on to compete at the Semifinals this past weekend in Northwestern. Antwaun Stanley won the award for Outstanding Soloist for "Something's got a hold on me." But, alas, we did not place - but had an amazing regardless.

Thank you to everyone who auditioned! We were very selective with auditions this semester, having 14 returning members, so we decided to not take any new members. We hope to see you all at our spring auditions the end of the semester! |

Dicks and Janes are back! We just had our largest turn out for auditions EVER with amazing talent! After much discussion, Dicks and Janes would like to congratulate our newest members: Danny Abosch, and Becky Ng, and would like to welcome Antwaun Stanley back!
Thank you again to everyone who auditioned - we were really blown away by the talent we saw this year! We wish we had spots for you all! |

Auditions!
Burton Bell Tower
What to expect:
* Pitch Detection - a chord will be played and we will ask you to sing the top, middle, or bottom note
* Tonal Memory - a series of notes will be played that we'll ask you to sing back
* Sight Reading - everyone's favorite! but don't be scared!
* Solo - we ask all auditionees to sing a verse and chorus of a song of their choice a cappella. DJs sings a wide variety of music, but please stay away from the classical realm, we tend to stay away from that one :) |
