11/1 Acousticophilia will be released at our fall concert

We are proud to announce that our brand new album, Acousticophilia, will be released at our Fall Concert on November 20th at 8pm at East Hall. Order your tickets today! If you can't make it to the concert, you can still preorder the album and listen to samples!

10/17 Acappellooza Tickets Now Available!

Tickets for the 10th Annual "Acappellooza!" are now available here. Acappellooza will be on October 31st at 7pm in the Michigan Union Ballroom and will feature guest groups from other Universities, as well as UM's own Amazin' Blue. Order your tickets today!

9/15 Welcome to the newest Dicks and Janes!

After a lengthy audition process, Dicks and Janes is proud to welcome the following new members into the group: Meggie Ramm, Melanie Beiter, Henry Johnson, Sarah Hall, and Cynthia Zhang. 4/18 Dicks and Janes win the "Viva la Vida Contest"

Dicks and Janes were announced the winners of The A Cappella Blog's Viva la Vida Contest! The contest presented eight different a cappella arrangements of "Viva la Vida" as finalists and asked the blog's readers to pick the winner. More than 400 people voted in the contest, and Dicks and Janes would like to thank everyone for their support. Click here to view a video of the winning arrangement.

3/21 Dicks and Janes Auditions April 15th and 19th

Dicks and Janes will be holding group auditions on Wednesday, April 15th in the Bell Tower. Please email dicksandjanes@umich.edu to schedule an audition time. 3/21 Spring Concert = Success!

Dicks and Janes would like to thank everyone who came out last night to see our Spring Concert. We were floored by the enthusiasm of the crowd, and by the largest attendance at a semester concert in recent memory. We'd also like to extend a HUGE thank you to the SoCal VoCals. They sounded spectacular, and it was an honor to share our concert with them.

2/8 DJs take 2nd at ICCA Quarterfinals!

Dicks and Janes took 2nd place at last night's ICCA Quarterfinals at Rackham Auditorium. In a very close competition with 7 other groups, MSU Capital Green and Dicks and Janes were chosen as the two groups that will advance to the SemiFinals at Northwestern University on March 14th!

1/12 Exciting News!

Dicks and Janes is proud to announce that the USC SoCal VoCals will be performing with us at our Spring Concert on March 20th! The SoCal VoCals are the reigning ICCA Grand Champions, meaning that they are considered by many to be the best collegiate a cappella group in the country. We are extremely excited to have them as guest performers at our concert, and tickets will be available very soon on our Tickets page!

12/11 End Of Semester Updates

Dicks and Janes had a fantastic Fall Concert and trip to Mount Pleasant to open for Central Harmony's winter concert. Thanks to everyone who came out to support us! In the remaining days before break, we'll be busy recording tracks for our new CD, which will hopefully be released by the end of the schoolyear, and preparing for our weekend trip to Traverse City in January to perform at TC's annual "College A Cappella Night." Also, mark your calendars! Our annual Spring Concert will be on Friday March 20th at 8pm. Have a happy new year, and we'll see you next semester!

11/15 Ben Folds Competition!

11/9 Acappellooza = Success! And Fall Concert News...

Acappellooza 2008 was a huge success. The Dicks and Janes would like to thank the four incredible groups for making last night a concert to remember: Amazin' Blue, Central Harmony, Accafellas, and TBA. If you missed Acappellooza, (or even if you didn't!) there is still one more chance to see the Dicks and Janes this semester! Our Fall Concert is coming up on November 21st in East Hall, and this year the theme is "Behind the Scenes". The Dicks and Janes performed last night in East Lansing, where we opened for the MSU Accafellas. The 'fellas, along with 3 other guest groups, will be performing at our 9th annual Acappellooza! 9/14 New Members, and Retreat!

Dicks and Janes welcomes our fantastic new members: Leah Bobbey, Spenser Paul, Carl Ciaramitaro, Nick Bringardner, and Vu Tran! We had a record number of auditioners this fall, and we congratulate all who came out to audition!

DJs are off to a great start this year! This semester's repertoire includes 7 brand new songs, all arranged by current members of the group. We kicked off the semester with our annual fall retreat this weekend, and we will be busy rehearsing in the weeks ahead.

3/31 10th Year = Amazing

It's been 10 years and DJs has done so much and are continuing to do so much!

3/18 An Overdue Update

- We're proud to be the University of Michigan Women's Gymnastics team's official National Anthem singers!

- We had an AMAZING East Coast Tour!
Ohio University, Johns Hopkins, Washington DC, Rochester, Cornell, and NYC!

- We took 2nd place in the ICCA Midwest Quarterfinals and went on to compete at the Semifinals this past weekend in Northwestern. Antwaun Stanley won the award for Outstanding Soloist for "Something's got a hold on me." But, alas, we did not place - but had an amazing regardless.

- We're very excited to about our 10th Anniversary Concert - Fri, April 4th!
