Years Played: 1944,1945,1947

Herb is from Ann Arbor and played hockey at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts from 1941-1943. He played both right wing and defense at Michigan for three seasons under Coach Lowrey and Coach Heyliger. Herb's most memorable experiences at Michigan were beating the University of Minnesota twice in the 1946-47 season, U of M's arch-rival at that time. Also, Herb scored the tying goal as a freshman against the Detroit Vickers Club.

Herb graduated from the School of Business Administration. After graduation, Herb played recreational hockey in Ann Arbor for several years and coached little league hockey. Over the years, Herb donated printing services for programs and tickets for Dekers' activities. He also printed the Dekers Newsletter for a number of years. The Dekers and the Michigan hockey program are most grateful for Herb's generosity for his continued support of these programs over the past years.
