Delta Gamma Philanthropy

The Foundation Mission Statement

Delta Gamma Foundation offers all members lifetime enrichment through educational growth, personal development

and opportunities for philanthropic service in the highest spirit of social responsibility.

Delta Gamma Fraternity, in accordance with its motto, "Do Good," is dedicated to preventing and curing blindness.  Our philanthropic efforts have raised over $1 million for various organizations throughout the United States and Canada, and have supported groundbreaking research in blindness prevention.

Xi women eagerly give back to their community locally, as well!  Constructing Braille reading books and pop-up/touch-and-feel valentines, visiting the Glacier Hills Nursing Center,  and volunteering during Angell Elementary's noontime activity hour have become staple service activities at Xi.  Several Xi woman have even donated their hair to the Locks of Love organization.  Delta Chi's Watermelon Bust and Sigma Chi's Derby Days are also a great way to serve the foundations of other fraternities and sororities.  Furthermore, the University of Michigan's GRΣΣK WΣΣK raises thousands of dollars for Camp Heartland, a sleep-away camp for kids and teens living with and affected by HIV and AIDS.

Each year, Xi chapter holds Anchor Splash®, a day-long fundraising event.  Participating teams (members of the Greek Community) enjoy water competitions such as synchronized swimming, relay races, and more.  Proceeds are donated to the Delta Gamma Foundation.
