DCE GDS is written by SNI. They also have a product version of GDS
(standalone - without DCE) called DIR.X.
This product version (release DIR.X 3.1) contains a LDAPD (LDAP 3.3) which
interacts with SNI's X.500 server (and, of course, DCE GDS; and it should
interact with any other X.500 server because it's written on top of XDS/XOM).
Unfortunately it isn't part of the OSF DCE source code distribution.
So - if you can get the source code of SNI's LDAPD: all you should have to do
is to compile it and link it with libdce.
