Consistent with the Division of Student Affairs mission of student learning, development of the whole student, diverse campus community, partnerships and student transformation the Dean of Students area will:
- Focus its advocacy, services and programs on student development and institutional policy and programs that are proactive and supportive of education and inclusiveness.
- Provide direct services.
- Promote an inclusive climate that is responsive to student needs and concerns.
- Create an environment where freedom of expression can flourish while recognizing the right of persons to be treated respectfully and affirming our cultural differences and similarities.
- Use best practices, open communication, and a foundation of trust to create a community invested in learning, development and responsible citizenship
