Physics 402 Fall 2007

December 16, 2007: Reminder Final Exam is Thursday, December 20, 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm in our usual classroom. You may bring your sheet of notes from the midterm and an addition 8 1/2 x 11" sheet of notes. See syllabus for additional details.

December 15, 2007: "Review-session/Office Hours" scheduled for Tuesday 2-4 in 4246 Randall.

November 25, 2007: PS#5 posted, it is due Monday December 10, in class. It is longer than usual and will be worth twice the value of the other problems sets.
November 1, 2007: PS#4 posted, it is due November 14 in class.
October 31, 2007: Midterms returned in class.
October 17, 2007: "Review-session/Office Hours" scheduled for Friday 4-6 in 4246 Randall.

October 11, 2007: PS#3 posted, it is due October 22, in class
September 26, 2007: PS#2 posted, it is due October 8.
September 24, 2007: Classes for the first week of October 1 will be over the videoconference link in 4404 Randall lab. Office hours will not be, so I've rescheduled them for Thursday October 4th or by appointment.
September 16, 2007: Corrected the reading assigment for Wednedsay September 19. It now has something to do with the lecture topic!
September 16, 2007: PS#1 deadline is extended until Friday September 21, by 5pm. Office hours on Tuesday, Sept. 18 are moved to Thursday Sept. 20.
September 16, 2007: cleaned up the assignments web page primarily to make navigation a little easier and to reflect the change in the due date of ps#1.
September 8, 2007: I need to be in Washington DC, so you will have a substitute for lectures on Monday and Wednesday. I have postponed my office hours until Thursday 2-4 this week. If this doesn't work for you, email me and I will try and set up an appointment with you.
September 4, 2007: The first problem set is posted on the substanially updated assignments page, it will be due Wednedsay September 19. Don't leave this one to the last minute. Don't forget to read the syllabus for the homework policy. Among other things, "[y]ou are encouraged to discuss the homework problems with other students [in the class]; however, the work that you turn in must be your own."
