UN Rules & Regulations

Item 1: No object other than a person shall be transferred to or from the 18th Century, under penalty of death.

Item 2: No convicted criminal shall be permitted to use the portal.

Item 3: Use of the portal shall be regulated by the newly formed Portal Governance Committee.

Item 4: Those who wish to use the portal shall apply for permission from the Committee and shall be required to testify before a board of experts as to why they wish to travel to the 18th Century.

Item 5: Travelers are explicitly forbidden to reveal any information about the future or the existence of the portal to 18th Century citizens, under penalty of death.

Item 6: All decisions to travel to the 18th Century are final and may not be reversed. No one may travel from the 18th Century forward under any circumstances, under penalty of death.

Item 7: Travelers to the 18th Century shall not produce any offspring, under penalty of death.

Item 8: Children shall not be permitted to use the portal under any circumstances.

Item 9: Travelers to the 18th may exchange any form of modern currency for 18th Century currency sufficient to live an 18th Century equivalent of their current 21st Century lifestyle.

Item 10: Prior to travelling to the 18th Century, all Committee-approved citizens must complete a six week training course on the language and customs of the 18th Century.
