You have chosen to sell tainted wine

You have been practicing as a baker for fifteen years. For the past month and a half you have secretly been selling corrupt wine, to those who frequent the tavern. This is because you have run short on your provisions that will not get restocked until next month.

So, you have been adding a little vinegar to the deal. You are aware of the fact that this is a crime, nonetheless you continue committing this horrendous crime. One of your distant cousins, and drunkard informs the police that you have been selling this wine to your customers as good.

One early morning, because bakers get up then, the police come to your door while your wife is still sleeping. The dogs bark and the neighbors are awakened by the commotion, as the light of the sun and neighbor’s soften the harsh lanterns that is thrust into your face. Then you are dragged, with your apron still on, to the jail forcibly. You hang your head in shame, knowing full well it was your wife’s fault, because she was the one who suggested it in the first place. (17)
