William Hogarth, (1697-1764)

William Hogarth was fascinated by English society. Many of his pieces were depictions of people and places that he was familiar with. Hogarth's opinions about the evils of society were often shown through his work. These two works in particular, show the his ill feelings towards the growing consumption of gun during the 18th century.
