Integrated Drinking

The concept of integrated drinking centers around the idea that consumption can provide information regarding social norms and class structure of a time period. In this case, there is evidence that drinking in eighteenth century England helped bring women together in meetings, which gave them a place in society, and showed class division based on their choice to go to a specific type of pub (38).
