Get the afterbirth of a woman with her first child, take off the string and then put it into a pot with three nutmegs shaved thin, a pinte of white wine, a handfull of sweet time (thyme.) Put these into a an oven to dry till it will powder, and search it through a fine sive (sieve.) Give as much every morning and night as will lye on a 6 pence in a Spoonfull or 2 of Sack take it Spring and fall for 3 changes of the moon --- 3 days before the new moon, & 3 days after & 3 days before the full. |
