Tastefest
A Taste of Chicago is the taste fest that takes place in Chicago every year. Other cities have taste fests as well but Chicago was the first city to make it a big event. The first taste fest began in Chicago in 1980 on Michigan Avenue, north of the Chicago River.
The Taste of Chicago is an event to get people to taste different foods from different resturants in one central location. In 1981 the Taste of Chicago made its permanent home in Grant Park and 58 resturants began to participate. As of today, as many as 3.5 million people attend the Taste of Chicago. [
