Ethnic Neighborhoods in Chicago

This site is designed to give an introduction to the importance of the neighborhood within Chicago. I will look at three different ethnic neighborhoods: Mexican, Polish and Black. With each of these groups I will examine the cultural practices that separated them from one another, and those that brought them together. Many of these practices are reflected in works of literature regarding Chicago, and when possible these works will be used to exemplify what I discuss.
