Obtaining a Friends Account

1. Go to https://friend.weblogin.umich.edu/friend/.
   • You must use Internet Explorer 6 on Windows or the Safari browser on OSX.
2. Enter your email address.
3. Click Request.
   • An email from friend-noreply@umich.edu is sent to the address you entered. Allow up to an hour for the email to arrive.
4. Click the Create Friend Account link in the email from friend-noreply@umich.edu.
5. Enter and confirm your password on the web page that opens.
6. Click Set Password.
7. On the confirmation page, click the login using your new login and password now link.
8. Enter your login name (the email you used to request access) and your password.
9. Click Login.

Logging into eResearch

1. Go to http://eresearch.umich.edu/.
2. Click Login.
3. Enter your login name (the email you used to request access) and your password.
4. Click Login.
5. Enter the appropriate information.
6. Click Submit.
