Multiple Reactons and Selectivity:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ugTnETtIyM
Comments: The selectivity is defined in a different manner in the video than in the book. The selectivity defined in the video is really the overall yield of D as defined in the book. Other than that, it is a good introduction to reactor choice and operating conditions to maximize selectivity.
Multiple Reactions in Membrane Reactors:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAsBmes3xqk
Comments: Interesting Example with good explanation. In this membrane reactor example one of the reactants is fed through the sides of the reactor. Shows the Polymath output in graphical form. I would have been nice to also show the Polymath Program.
Multiple Reactions in a CSTR:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwMRDuXUUDs
Comments: In spite of not following the Algorithm for setting up multiple reaction problems (the video uses r1 and r2 instead of r1M, r1H, r2H and r2X, r1X, and the net rates rM, rX, and rH). Never-the-less it's easy to follow and the answer and Polymath solution procedure are correct. See if you can use the Algorithm in Table 8-2 to arrive at the same equations to be solved in Polymath.
