Brown Bag / Education Classes

The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FASAP) are offering twelve "Brown Bag" educational presentations for the 2007-2008 academic year. The 45-minute presentations, offered free of charge, are available to any faculty/staff group or unit upon request (there is a minimum number of attendees required). They are provided at the requestor's site and are ideal offerings for a lunch hour or during a staff development session.

Creative Thinking

Take time to think outside the box and color outside the lines. This presentation explores factors that influence creativity and examines the stages of creative thought. Through discussion and exercises, participants are encouraged to use their imaginations and think laterally in order to unlock creative insights.

Perfectionism: "When Getting It Right Goes Wrong."

For many of us, striving for perfection can bring rewards, but it can also have negative consequences in work, emotional well-being and personal relationships. Learn more about the roots of perfectionism, how it differs from healthy achievement and where you fall on a scale of perfectionism. We will also have suggestions for modifying perfectionistic thinking and behavior.
