ASME/SWE Fun Run 2008

On Sunday March 30th, 2008 the University of Michigan Chapters of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Society of Women Engineers are teaming up to host the 8th annual 5K Charity Fun Run/Walk. This charity event benefits the Child and Family Life department of C.S. Mott Children's Hospital of the University of Michigan. The Fun Run generally attracts over 200 runners, and we expect this year to be bigger than ever! This year, the fun will begin and end at Mitchell Field, located on Fuller Road near the hospital. The run/walk will start at 12:00 noon, but please arrive by 11:30 am. For those who did not see the change in location, there will be shuttles going from the Arb to Mitchell Field. The cost of the run/walk is $10 for pre-registration or $15 for registration on the day of the run, beginning at 10:30 am. The registration price includes a t-shirt, snacks and refreshments, and entrance to the post race raffle. All proceeds from the 5k Fun Run will go to Child and Family Life at University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. In addition to the race, we will also be selling Childhood Cancer Awareness Ribbons on race day for $5. We appreciate any contribution to the children that you make!
