In memoriam: Dr. David Rosen
We would like to recognize and thank Dr. David Rosen for his years of service and dedication to Galens Medical Society. He joined Galens 30 years ago as a member then served as both a producer and director czar of the 1983 and 1984 Smokers. After joining the faculty at Michigan, he continued to be a staunch advocate for the Galens Medical Society and was always involved at a leadership level. As a result of his contributions, he received the title of "Permanent Honorary", one of only six faculty members in the history of Galens to be so honored. His service to the adolescents of the area was a true example of the Galens mission.
Dr. Rosen very sadly passed away in February 2013. He will be dearly missed by the entire Galens family. We will all remember him as a wonderful advocate and teacher.
In Dr. Rosen's honor, we are creating an endowment in his name with the funds going to the North Star Reach camp. He was very involved in this camp throughout the years and its mission to allow children with serious medical illnesses the chance to attend summer camp. Gifts to this endowment may be made online via PayPal or mailed to the following address (please include Dr. Rosen's name in the memo):Galens Medical Society
