The Global Citizenship Club at the University of Michigan Business School
(UMBS) has two main goals:1. Raise awareness and funds for national and local charities through leading philanthropic events on campus and nationwide, and
2. Encourage, recognize, and facilitate UMBS interest and participation inindividual volunteer activities.
To achieve its first goal, the Global Citizenship Club plans, fundraises and promotes philanthropic events through employing the business expertise and resources of the UMBS community.
To achieve its second goal, the Club strives to promote the benefits of volunteerism. It also establishes new philanthropic activities and refers people to existing volunteer opportunities that have community impact and appeal to the UMBS community.
The Global Citizenship Club does not charge dues for membership and encourages BBA and MBA students, faculty, and staff to participate in each of its programs.
Through its efforts, the Global Citizenship Club aspires to have an impact upon the community and firmly establish Michigan as the business school of moral and civic leadership.
