A comprehensive program evaluation will be undertaken throughout the life
of the project. The student cohort study and an evaluation of the impacts
of the Graduate Experience Project on recruitment and retention
will provide critical data on student satisfaction and program completion
rates. Components of the Project that are shown to be successful will be
documented and disseminated to other institutions. Evaluation instruments
will be shared with other institutions who are replicating or adopting our
programs. We strongly believe that the Graduate Experience Project model
will have far-reaching applicability to other science and mathematics departments
as well.
