Informatics ConferenceThis unique one-day workshop was designed to respond to a need expressed by Michigan health professionals. It focused on the emergence of the field of public health informatics and the methods by which public health data can be used in making decisions to improve the well-being of Michigans' communities. The workshop featured four hands-on learning modules designed to familiarize participants with information technologies and resources in practical applications of public health data:
Each participant was given a CD containing information presented at the workshop plus exercises to practice. Information on how to access valuable sources of health-related data was also shared.
