The ITCS Login ServiceThe ITCS Login Service is a set of machines that are available for use by members of the University community. The ITCS Login Service provides a set of machines, the Login Pool, to which you can connect remotely. These machines can be reached by connecting to login.itd.umich.eduusing ssh. The Login Pool is configured so that a single name can be used when you want to use one and your connection will get routed to whichever machine is in the rotation at that moment. The ITCS Login Service is in the process of removing telnet access. For information about this change and how to obtain SSH software, please see our SSH web page.
