Statistics and Computation Service Migration to LinuxThe ITCS Statistics and Computation Service (SCS) has been migrated from Solaris to Linux. The four Solaris SCS servers have been removed from service, and replaced by four new servers running Linux. SCS HardwareEach of the new SCS machines have two AMD Opteron processors at 2600 MHz. Each machine has 16 GB of RAM.SCS SoftwareYou can expect to find most of the same software you are used to using on the Solaris SCS servers on the Linux SCS servers. We are still adding and configuring software, so you may find some differences. Some software that was available on the Solaris SCS servers will not be available on the Linux servers. Some software is still pending installation. At the time of this writing, the following pacakges are not planned for installation or are pending installation on the new servers: Not to be Installed
Additionally, most of the programs that run on the Login Service machines are also available on the SCS server. Center for Statistical Consultation and Research (CSCAR)If you have any questions regarding how to use the statistics or computational software available on this machine, please contact the Center for Statistical Consultataion and Research (CSCAR).
