Academic Resources

The Graduate Student Advisor and Field Table is great for finding co-authors among your peers, finding out how professors are as advisors, or just finding other graduate students with similar research interests. You should check it out!

The Fellowship and Funding document which Mary sent out is now on-line. We've also added the document of Conferences where PhD students can present which Chris Dunn compiled.

For the prelims, we have:

  1. A page of tips and resources for the micro prelim (by jody)
  2. an older list of student-recommended texts for the micro sequence
  3. the Cabinet of prelim materials in the lounge. Look through, photocopy what's useful to you...but make sure to only copy it! Return, return, return! (Thanks to Ben and Alissa)
If you have other suggestions of books or websites helpful in prelim preparation, please tell us.

General Resources

There are many resources that Mary has put up on the web which should not be overlooked. Of particular note are:

Teaching Resources

We're thinking of having a tutoring list on-line. The primary purpose of this list is so that you can refer extra tutees to your classmates; that page can be given directly to students so that they can see who is out there.
