Scholarship

Members of the Greek Community at the University of Michigan recognize that the first priority of attending college is to attain a well-rounded education.  Greek organizations support their member’s academic success through tutoring, mentoring, educational seminars, and other helpful programs.  Each chapter maintains minimum academic requirements for active membership.  In addition, many chapters offer scholarships to award exceptional academic accomplishments.   To see academic information for the Greek Community and Interfraternity Council chapters click on these links:

There are two national honor societies that recognize Greeks. Order of Omega selects juniors and seniors who have attained a high level of achievement in scholarship, leadership and service. Gamma Sigma Alpha recognizes juniors and seniors who have a minimum 3.7 grade point average. These organizations facilitate workshops for chapter scholarship chairs, while members of these organizations serve as tutors and role models for others in the Greek Community.

IFC is offering 8 scholarships to students pledging an IFC Chapter in Fall of 2009. Participation in the Greek Community is required to receive the scholarship.
