The AAPD Slide Distribution Project closed in December 2006.

Historically, one issue of a collection of photographic materials was made. Projects were announced and orders solicited. After the closing date for the placement of orders, the sets were made to satisfy the demand.

Unless othersiwe specified, all slide originals are photographed by University of Michigan staff. The team included Director of Media Services, Jeri Hollister; and AAPD project coordinator, Wendy Holden. Extensive tests on the film were made prior to shooting, and all original slides were made on film of the same emulsion number. The color slide duplicates were made on Kodak duplicating film for the hightest quality and color lifetime.

All sets of educational materials were accompanied by a full identification list which includes artist, date4s, format, media, and dimensions. Exhibition catalogues were available through this office only if specifically advertised.
